Anan 200D Service

Hi,

I have an Anan 200d that no longer transmits on 12 and 10 meters. I have sent emails to support@apache-labs.com from both my prodigy.net and gmail.com accounts. I have not gotten any responses. I want to get my radio serviced? Any suggestions?

I tried reaching out to Doug myself and received no response, which is quite unusual.

All you can do is keep trying. Also send email to the main Apache email addresses.

He fixed my 200D same problem under warranty long time ago. Cap fried for band filter. Scorched board.
Maybe more Anan server madness or he is away .

It seems that email to/from Apache is being blocked by a significant number of ISPs and other mail servers. It's probably too difficult to get their email server off whatever "bad" list it has gotten onto. Perhaps they should set up an alternate address, maybe on a major platform like Gmail, for folks to use when they are having difficulty with apache-labs.com email addresses.

Having an alternate email service provider and/or email address, sounds like a very good plan to me. Well if I am lucky the email gets through some day. I like my 200s, but one of them is "misbehaving".
(It would be great to have this one 100% ok and I would not mind to get my hands one one more 200 or a 7000 but they are not easy to find around here.)

I suggested they setup anan.reachout <at> gmail or some such over 8 months ago. Can lead a horse to water and all that.

I was able to get in contact with Doug using my gmail account. I sent the radio to him for service. He was unable to fix the problem because the circuit board was too badly damaged, but he did replace the fan for me. The radio still works on 80-15 meters and the six meter band so I will continue to use it for a while. Doug charged a reasonable amount and very nice to deal with. I recommend him highly.

How did the PCB get damaged? Any photos?

Doug had to replace my whole filter board due to serious burning of board where the
10/12 band capacitor flamed. Unit was under warranty and unlike now the part was available. No further issues with that 200D or my 8000dle
