EU Service for Out of Warranty Product

HI I have a question are Items purchased direct from Appache labs
by European buyers have warranty cover and if so

Where in Europe are the faulty Items send?

Or do they have to be returned for repair to AL direct
or USAA ?

Hello Liam,

Our EU distributor will provide warranty repair/support if the unit was purchased from them, else it has to be send to our US/AU location,

We do have an authorised service location in the EU for Apache Customers but it is currently not operational due to the current situation.

HI So to be Clear

Items purchased from AL direct

If a radio is faulty under warranty AL have No European repair center and the radio
must be returned to Either AL or a repair center in USA?

AL had a repair center in Europe but that is now closed?

Will the European center ever reopen or are those who purchased direct from AL
forced to sent faulty Items to the USA for repair under warranty or out of cover?

I understand that AL is a small company however without a European Repair center
for radios purchased direct from AL then whats the point in buying direct from AL if
you live in Europe?

Hello Liam,

We will assign a repair job with a Distributor workshop if the radio is under warranty, it does not need to be send to AU or the US, however, due to very high repair costs in the EU, out of warranty products need to be shipped to our US/AU workshops,

We are already actively looking to appoint an authorized repair center in the EU and will have it in place shortly,

We encourage you to buy from our Distributors in the EU,

All good points, are you still going ahead with your direct purchase?

It seems it is hard to find them on sale in EU stores.

They do have or had them in the UK but that seems a minefield for us in the EU these days.

When did you order.

I have used Anan gear from the old 100 No problem with it
However buying direct is out of the question due to ZERO
support from AL in EU

Unless you are prepared to pay for carriage to and from USA
if your rig requires and repair in or out of warranty

I have firsthand experience of ALs service for items Purchased
direct from them I was lucky it was a minor repair though When I contacted AL
about the problem with the radio I was told to contact an email address in
USA and arrange shipment to repair center in USA as AL did not have a
repair center in EU


Some few suppliers in Europe who seem to have some
stock and also provide support for AL radios purchased
only from them.... not direct from AL

I like Anan radios and its great to see the work Richie is
doing with Thetis however the support from AL is a problem
