Low Tx power on higher bands - Anan 100D

Postby Vu2ded » Tue Dec 24, 2024 11:02 am

Dear all privileged to be member of this alied group. Just acquired an used Anan 100D. It's working nicely except the Tx power on higher bands is low, specially on 6M where it is just 4W, while PA attenuation is set at the minimum value of 38.8. The Tx power details on different bands is:

160M to 20M - 100W
17M - 85W
15M - 60W
12M - 48W
10M - 38W
6M - 4W

I am using protocol 1 with firmware 6.0 and latest Thetis software. BTW I have also tried older firmware but with no results. Physically also inspected the PA cum filter board but can't find anything abnormal, including TX low pass filter toroids and capacitors. wishing you all a merry christmas and happy new year 2025.
Please help...

NB. I am unable to understand how Mosfet RD100 are used successfully on 6M, while they are meant for HF I. e. upto 30Mhz Can RD70, be used as a substitute of RD100?

AFAIK, everyone who has suffered a similar problem has had to have something repaired on the PA/RF board.
