Ok, I've had this radio for over a month and still not sure how to look inside. After reading about chassis grounding and such I'd like to look inside of my 7000DLE MK2-3 whatever and verify the chip, check to see if the paint is cleaned off under connectors and screws etc.
I'd also like to see if I can flip the power switch over since it seems to be backwards to me.
What would be the proper way to skin this cat?

The article at the link below is from about 5 years ago and shows the steps used to disassemble the case of the ANAN-100D. As far as I know the 7000DLE will not be much different assuming you have the extruded aluminum case.

Thanks Rob, I'll give it a look, and thanks to Volker , DL4ZBG for sending me an E-mail with complete instructions in pdf format!
Now it's just a matter of time until my curiosity gives me the courage to explore the insides of this radio, and maybe the warranty has expired.
