G2 latency
G2 latency
Has anyone measured the mic to antenna transmit latency yet? Preferably in DIGU or DIGL mode so as to eliminate any contribution from the audio processing functions.
Re: G2 latency
What procedure do you use to test the latency?
Re: G2 latency
Obtain a two channel oscilloscope, on channel 1 monitor the mic output, on channel 2 monitor the RF output using a sampler or coupler of some sort.
Using a signal generator, play a pulsed tone into the microphone. Measure the time difference between the start of the tone on the mic output and the start of the tone at the RF output.
It's important that the time between tone pulses be greater than the largest possible latency. 200ms should do it.

I am also interested in how the G2 compares in these areas:
- Latency, using a 7000DLE as a benchmark
- RX spurs coming from the onboard switching regulator (test using no antenna, they are there, it is just a question what level they are)
- Ethernet SEQ errors, using higher sample rates, activating RX 2 to stress things
