ANAN 100/D CAT control

Postby HB9ARI-4 » Tue Mar 03, 2020 8:11 am

Hello,

I'm able to control TX only with a 2nd CAT; i don't find the set-up for
a "mono" CAT .(VFO and TX PTT)

I'm using JTDX, DXlab commander and PoweSDR (Anan 100/D).

Walther wrote some time ago that it was possible, but , after a lot of
tries, i'm still unable to find the correct setup.

Can somebody help me ?

MNY TNX in advance.

This is not a "Forum Problem", it is a PowerSDR problem, so moving it to the PowerSDR sub-forum...

Also, it has nothing to do with the hardware, so it's not a "100/D" problem. It's a PowerSDR and probably a DXLabs/JTDX configuration problem.

Create two separate serial port pairs in whatever app you are using for virtual serial port connections. The numbering isn't important, but for purposes of discussion lets call them COM20-COM21 and COM22-COM23.

In Setup > CAT > CAT Control > CAT, assign COM20. In DXlabs Commander assign COM21. In DXlabs Commander I use SDR-5000 as the radio type. On the DXLabs config General tab, look for the PTT section. Hitting the TX and RX buttons should have the desired effect because DXlabs Commander uses CAT PTT by default (unless you disabled it).

In Setup > CAT > CAT Control > CAT+, assign COM22 to CAT2 Control. In JTDX assign COM23 and make sure you have CAT PTT selected (I don't use or have installed JTDX so can't tell you exactly how to do this). Also, in JTDX selecting a Kenwood type radio, like a TS-2000, should work if JTDX does not have a driver for PowerSDR.
