piHPSDR CW issus on ANAN 2G with Front Panel

Hllo,

received my 2G ANAN 3 days ago. Since then I have been struggling with piHPSDR in CW mode:

- first I was not able to get a valid CW signal on the air, only dots and straight key did not work at all.
- then I disabled the checkbox "generate CW in Radio" not knowing what it might be good for
- after that, when I open the CW menue, I cannot change anything, but the pi freezes and I cannot quit the menue.

Did anyone else experience the same? I did not expect such problems with CW.....

Hi Volker,

I think you found some bugs. I was able to replicate your issues and
just checked in some fixes to my github repo.

If you want to pull them in, do this from an xterm to the Pi CM4:

cd /home/pi/github/pihpsdr
make clean
git pull
make -j9

You should be able to run pihpsdr now and test CW, let me know how it goes...

I tried to connect my Pi to my WIFI network in order to have access to github. Unfortunately this pi does not detect my WIFI network. Nearby pi (10" away) of my RF2K-S detects network and connects without problems.

I get wlan0 : not associated.

what is puzzling me is that there is a network entry in file wpa_supplement. Can I erase this? Can this be the source of my problem?

Any thoughts?

Hi Rick,

Wifi of the pi needed more field strenght than any other of my components. Finally got it working...

- at the end of git pull command I got an error regarding mail address or something similar
- make -j9 was executed

But after that I don't see any difference to the situation before. CW dialogue still freezes and I cannot set the checkbox for "CW generated by radio"

Did I forget something?

If you had an error doing "git pull" it probably didn't download the new code, so the make will have rebuilt the original.

Can you copy what the exact error message is please and paste it here please?

Today I tried again. Now the pi was not loading anything at all. Please see screenshot.

I have tried this procedure and it worked for me. But I believe I already had this version on my G2. You can type "Dir" to get a list. You will see github, so type "cd github". You the use the same procedure to finally get to the pihpsdr directory. Once there, type the commands:

make clean
git pull
make -j9

Give it a try again!

I should be in the correct diretory. I was stuck on "git pull". What country setting are you using in the pi? Might this have an effect?

I have no idea about the Country setting, but I changed it to USA, just because I came across it. I was looking to enter in my WiFi password, but never found a location.... then clicked on the Internet Browser, and it was working without a WiFi password!
