piHPSDR - DL1YCF running on a PC

Hi all,
I'm still working through how to use Linux and piHPSDR so some of my terminology might be a little off.
I've setup a PC laptop (i7, 12Gb ram, 500gb SSD, dedicated graphics - GeForce GTX, touch screen etc) running Debian 11 Bullseye with Raspberry Pi desktop (so it all looks like the G2 with screen and knobs etc) see this link for the official Raspberry Pi image: https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/ra ... i-desktop/ with my ANAN 200D. running P2 firmware, connected directly to the laptop NIC.
I've followed the installation instructions from DL1YCF's manual (v3) and installed piHPSDR, easy enough and detects the ANAN 200D, the IP of the radio and Protocol. The issue I am having is the RX audio is "chopping" so to speak, its like a sh sh sh sh sound. I can see signals on the band etc but all audio is choppy. I am getting no sequencing errors.
What I did was change the ANAN 200D firmware from P2 back to P1 and issue resolved. RX audio is perfect. Is there something that I am missing in setting up the piHPSDR for P2? or I will have to stick with P1 firmware?
