Splash disable?
Splash disable?
I am wondering if there is a way to turn off the Ukraine splash screen. While I am totally in sympathy with the people of Ukraine and have done what I can to support them, I am finding it less than useful to have the initial Ukraine splash screen show up every time I start Thetis. IS there a way to turn that off or at least to have it disappear on its own after it is displayed?

Click on the Ukraine flag and it'll disappear.

Yes, I know that. I am looking for a way for it either to stop appearing or to disappear by itself without having to click on it.

Re: Splash disable?
There is no way of changing this without modifying the code.
The entire codebase is available for download from Richie's GitHub repository.

Thanks Scott. Modifying the codebase to accomplish this is way above my pay grade.

Re: Splash disable?
I will provide a 2.9.0.6 new-compiled thetis.exe executable perhaps tomorrow that removes the ukraine splash. Optional to those who want it.
Re: Splash disable?
Thank you. I appreciate it and look forward to that release.

Re: Splash disable?
Thank you for this. However, when I tried to download it, I got a popup asking me to install an extension on my Chrome browser (WIndows). Is this extension legit and is it necessary in order to download your file?

Same thing here, tons of pop-ups and attempts to install things, my Windows security balks at it.

That's not where you want to grab the source repository from. That is Richie's sandbox and the code there may contain unfinished features, broken features, and other bugs.dynamicfusion wrote:Sourced from github https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0.git 7-7-2022
The correct place to source the code from is here: https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0/releases
Specifically download either the zip or the the tar.gz source file for 2.9.0.6.
Rebuild that (it's probably all of one line of code difference). Then rather than use some sketchy download site like zippy, simply post here with the revised .exe file in a zip archive as a post attachment. You should be able to attach a zip archive to a post, if not then let me know.

Much better. Thank for uploading to dropbox. I was able to download and save with no problem and no worrisome pop-ups.

A shame that these forums host a link to a build like that. I guess some are entitled today, so much so, that either ignoring or single clicking is just too way too much of an afront to one's freedoms or too much effort. Ah well.
Anyway, just to mention, there are a couple of issues with 2.9.0.6 that haven been resolved in the WIP version 2.9.0.7 which has not been released yet. Issues with saving s-meter calibration after a recalibrate, 2tone drives not being restored, importing DB's causing notches to fail and potentially result in a broken db, and a couple of others. Some fixes are up on github, some are not as yet.
I will probably have an interim patch release sometime at the end of this month, just to clear away some of those issues, and a few others that have been reported.

Ramdor:
I certainly did not mean to open a can of worms here. I actually was hoping you might respond to my initial inquiry on this thread. I am not that knowledgeable as to how generate a 'build' to be able to do it myselft. Is there something wrong with the build posted my dynamicfusion? I have downloaded it but have not run it yet.
Thanks and 73 de Arnie W8DU
