Receive Signal Overload

Postby Hadlejeff » Fri Aug 12, 2022 8:34 pm

I have an odd problem while operating my 7000dle MKII with Thetis. Occasionally when I go from transmit to receive using PTT my receive signal level goes to over 60DB making the receive function unusable. To reset the 7000dle receive function I have toggle the transmit a couple of times and the receiver returns to normal operation. Does anyone have this problem or ideas on how to fix the problem?

If it does not happen at low to no power suspect RFI.

Thanks Bob, I tried using the tun feature and the problem occurs at high and low power...in fact I can set the drive to 0 and I still have the problem.

This problem I have had for a very long time with Thetis! To get back to normal I have to toggle Power OFF and ON. I think it has been mentioned several times on the forum.
