Possible bug in audio from rear speaker jacks

Postby K1LSB » Sun Sep 11, 2022 1:57 pm

I'm driving my speakers from the rear speaker jacks on my 7000.

If the Pan slider is centered, audio comes thru both speakers (as expected). However, when I Pan the audio to the right speaker it progressively mutes all audio from both speakers. The system works as expected if I Pan the audio to the left.

Further, the BIN (binaural) button has no effect at all.

The noted behavior is observed on both RX1 and RX2.

NOTE: Audio coming from the front headphone jack behaves correctly in all regards. It's only audio coming from the rear speaker jacks that behaves as described above.

Can anyone else possibly replicate my observations?

Thanks,
Mark

This is not a software bug and it has nothing to do with Thetis. You are now the fourth documented case (on this forum) of an improperly assembled ANAN. You will have to open up the ANAN and move the cable that is currently attached to the Orion J8 to Orion J9 instead.

See this topic: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3157

I will merge this topic with the above referenced one after you've replied.

Thank you Scott, I did a search the other day for "speaker jack" in the forum and didn't see that in the search results.
