TCI clients

Postby JJ4SDR » Thu Oct 13, 2022 11:27 pm

Can someone tell me how to uncover which TCI clients Thetis has (Network form)? I suspect that I have both a WiFi radio and Ethernet connection as clients and I only need one of them (WiFi).

If I understand your question correctly, and I'm not sure I do, I think you are looking for the list of available IP binding addresses for Thetis on your PC. The binding addresses are those that Thetis has available to listen on for TCI communications. Thetis can listen on only a single binding address at a time. Choose the most appropriate one for your setup.

You can find the available binding addresses by clicking the IPv4 button in either the TCI or TCP/IP section (Setup > Serial/Network/MIDI/CAT > Network).

If you want to see what TCI clients Thetis is communicating with there is no way to do that. It is understood that since TCI connections are made manually by adjusting settings in all of the various TCI enabled software that may be in use, the operator would therefore know exactly what he did ;)

Hi Scott,

The portion of your response was what I was wondering about. This operator wasn't sure which clients Thetis was seeing, only had a suspicion that what I had done worked and I know it did now.

Thanks!
