CW via TCI

Postby w3ub » Wed Oct 19, 2022 2:01 pm

If I use my SunSDR2 DX, I can use a program like MLDX on a Mac to key the Sun running on my PC via the TCI port over the network.

With my 7000DLE, I can use this same program to connect to the TCI port of Thetis and share radio data, but it won't key the radio and send CW? It seems like the only way to key the Anan is via a serial port? Even if there is a TCI connected client?

TCI is not fully supported in Thetis.

You can find the list of supported (and unsupported) TCI commands and features here: https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0/blob/master/Thetis%20v2.9.0%20Change%20Log.pdf

Understood. TCI seems to be a nice interface. Looking forward to improvements with it.

Doug, Scott,
I operate my ANAN using the TCI interface on CW without any issues. Amp is an RF2K-S that is connected to the same network - over WiFi - that my PC and ANAN 7000 DLE MKII use.

Juha -- are you CW keying the radio from another software app using a TCI connection? That's what Doug wants to do. He's not talking about just radio-amp TCI comm's.

Scott,
No, I am not. I missed that 3rd party software bit.
