Hi:

Does anyone have any experience running Thetis under Parallels on a MacBook Pro. I have an i7 and 8 GB of Ram in my Macbook Pro, but just wondering if anybody has experienced problems. Tnx.

I currently run an iMac, but for something like Thetis I like to use the native BootCamp partition, which results in lower CPU/memory usage than trying to run them both at the same time. You can run Parallels also using your BootCamp partition, which I do when running my SunSDR and want a few low load Windows programs at the same time.

If your MacBook Pro CPU is capable and you have enough memory you can to it only with Parallels. If you find you are consuming too much CPU with the fan running to high, consider the BootCamp option.

Yep, I'm running Thetis on Parallels with Windows 11, works great...

Thanks for the info. I guess my mileage will vary. I keep the MacBook Pro down here in the shack and the iMac is upstairs. Worst case scenario I might have to treat myself to a new and improved Macbook. Still looking for a 200D, so just in the planning stage right now. Thanks for the assistance.
