Turn off AGC altogether?

Postby W9IP » Mon Jan 30, 2023 3:26 am

Dear friends,
Is it possible to turn off AGC altogether in Thetis? I do EME and it is useful to measure signal levels at audio where AGC just gets in the way. Note: I'm not asking about turning off "auto AGC gain mode" (which is so redundant.)
Thanks,

You want to set the AGC mode to "Fixd"

Do you mean Setup/DSP/AGC-ALC/"Fixed Gain (dB)?

Not Walter but, yes, that's what he means. When you set the AGC to "Fixd" mode in the main UI console drop down control, it turns off AGC and uses a fixed gain that you specify that remains unvarying until you change AGC mode to something automatic.

Perfect, thanks to both of you.

Return to “Thetis”
