The RX2 second receiver does not seem to work on the ANAN 7000 MKIII, Thetis 2.9.08 or 2.9.0.19, Protocol 2 version Metis_Orion_MkIII_CV_P2_v2.1.12A.rbf or Protocol 1 version Metis_Orion_MkII_v2.8_P1_CV_N1GP_9.rbf, . The noise floor remains about -162dbm and no signals appear on the panafall when RX2 is selected. If I change to ADC 0 in the setup for RX2, signals return. Am I missing a setting?
Thanks, Gordon, KW4EX
ADC 1 on 7000 MKIII Doesn't seem to work
Re: ADC 1 on 7000 MKIII Doesn't seem to work
Dumb question: what do you have connected to the RX2 connector on the back?
Re: ADC 1 on 7000 MKIII Doesn't seem to work
I have connected an antenna to RX2 and the radio is now receiving signals. When I first made this post, I did not realize that the second receiver must have a different antenna. So I thank you for your reply and it was not a "dumb question", but one that triggered a very thoughtful solution. Thank you for your response to a new user in the community! This does, however, lead to the question, "Can you use a single antenna for both receivers?" Maybe for further clarification, " Is ADC1 hardware connected to RX2 on the back panel of the radio?"
Many thanks!

This article is a little old (e.g. wider bandwidths are now available) but it explains the basics:
