I commonly switch from an RE-27 (dynamic) mic to a Radio Sport headset (electet).
It appears that I cannot incorporate turning on the bias as part of the transmit profile for the headset.
(or) incorporate turning off the bias as part of the RE-27 transmit profile.

Am I missing something?

You are not missing anything. Mic bias is not a setting that is stored as part of either a band stack register or as part of a transmit profile.
