Thetis 2.10.3.5 Final Now Available
Thetis 2.10.3.5 Final Now Available
Find it here: https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/releases
Please uninstall any previous version, before installing this version.
(note: uninstalling using add/remove programs, leaves behind your database and does not remove it. You don't need to do anything with this, other than taking a backup perhaps, as Thetis should update/use appropriately)
Be sure to read the change log!
Earlier versions are available via that same link.
G2 users, please be sure your G2 specific software and firmware are fully updated. See this topic: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=4772

Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
I must be missing something as I only see 2.10.0.0 from July.

Did NOT fix the issue with the Balanced input my my G2 100W no panel model?
Still can only use the 1/8 mic input for voice.
It did fix the monitor audio is now working!
It also fixed the issue where audio would drop out when opening and closing the RX2!

Were you able to successfully run the steps in the G2 applications section of this forum?
I think you need both the Thetis update and the pi application updates ran on the G2 before the fixes will work.
I'm having an issue with the pi application update but posted in that subject to keep confusion down...

Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
I think I'm a bit confused but this is what I think I'm supposed to do to update to 2.10.1 on my G2 100w plain.
Download and install Thetis.2.10.1 to my windows PC.
Download and install new p2app with updated firmware to the built in computer in the G2?
Where do I download the new p2app files from?
Or I'm wrong and I am supposed to do something different?

Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
Yes, AND you also need to download and install the firmware update to the G2. You've got the link to Laurence's post with instructions posted twice now.
Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
Thank you for the update, which fixed the Mode form.
Alas, something got screwed up with the RX path to the second ADC. I get no rx on the second ADC unless there is an antenna attached to the the primary (first) ADC. I then get the full signal.
I did try and play around with the ADC settings, but to no avail.

Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
False alarm.
The problem was that Thetis defaulted to Hermes hardware. After correcting it to 7000DLE 2nd RX is back in business.
Sorry for the noise.

Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
Using the 7000 DLE MKII, I am wondering if transitioning to 2.10.1 from 2.9.0.8 (I am still on the Pre-release) provides any real benefits and if so what are they? Real benefits that I can see or hear?

For all but the Andromeda and the G2 the are only some minor fixes to XIT and RIT behavior.
Re: Thetis 2.10.1 Released
Roger that Scott! I assume there aren't significant benefits between the pre-release and official 2.9.0.8 versions either?

Not as sure about that but probably not.
Re: Thetis 2.10.2 Final Now Available
Not sure why, but with all Thetis 2.10.0 to 2.10.2 (Final release) I see higher overall CPU load. Normal load was 2/3%. With 2.10.2 etc, CPU load is now 15% plus. Same results on two other PC's.

Re: Thetis 2.10.2 Final Now Available
Previous versions had N issue showing the correct cpu usage. I had to look in Windows Task Manager to see actual usage. That has now been corrected..

It’s the same no matter which. Thetis is using 13-15%. Default database.

I’ve run task manager and my system uses 0 to 1% cpu. When I run Thetis it jumps to 15% in task manager and is quite erratic. Sometimes hitting 18%.
Im running an i9, 9900k cpu, 16cores, 32gb ram, nvme M.2 hard drives, dedicated graphics. Anyway not seeing this high usage with other versions of Thetis. Back to the old one.

Re: Thetis 2.10.2 Final Now Available
Can not see a difference to older versions. Still between 3-4% (Thetis only).

Running a severely undervolted and under-clocked i9 laptop here, Thetis is reporting between 1-3% System load.
Check your Task Manager to see if there's something else going on.

Yes I've checked it. Check what I said in a previous post. Main system is 0-1%

Thetis, since Windows 11, doesn't show correct CPU utilization.
Please check real CPU utilization in taskbar/processes/Thetis

I can't find any significant differences in CPU load compared to 2.9.0.8.

Re: Thetis 2.10.2 Final Now Available
I installed v2.10.0.2 Final this morning. I uninstalled the previous version and all seemed to go well. Until, I tried to run Thetis. Then, I got a nice BSOD ( Windows 11 Pro) saying that there was a problem with Portaudio.cls and a page fault in a non-paged area. Rebooted, and got the same results when I tried running Thetis.
I uninstalled Thetis from the Apps and Features list. That seemed to go well.......it didn't. I reinstalled Thetis and it had problems again. So, I uninstalled Thetis and Rebooted the computer and installed v2.9.0.8 that went well with no problems. It didn't pickup my database.
So, I uninstalled that version and installed v2.10.0.2 Final again. This time, no BSOD. But my database was gone. I decided not to use the backup I had made before starting all this.
Instead, I went through everything and and recalibrated the PA and redone all my settings.
Everything is working fine now.
Speaking of the CPU usage, I think the difference being seen between the percentage shown by Thetis and Task Manager is related to how often Thetis updates cpu data it displays from where it is actually getting the data. I believe there is a delay between the two and that's why they don't often read the exact same thing at the same time.
For me, it really isn't a big deal. My older i7 6700 Dell seems to do just fine. And usage shows around 15 to 18 percent most of the time. I can run other applications without any noticeable impact on Thetis or whatever other application I might be using at the same time.
All part of the fun!
Thanks Ritchie.......as always a great release. ( as long as I don't foul it up!
