Thetis skins installer
Thetis skins installer
I've accidentally deleted some of my Thetis skins. Some buttons and symbols are just blobs on the skin I am currently using. Does anyone know if the skin installer containing lots of skins is still available for download? I found the topic about it on this forum but the links in the post don't seem to work any more.
Thanks. Terry GW4NNO

Re: Thetis skins installer
I would like to inform you about a new even larger skin installer.
The installer now contains 70 different skins. All necessary buttons and sliders are up to date.

Hmm my browsers refuse to download the new installer Sigi. It keeps saying "Virus detected". Very strange.

Hello Terry, no problem on my computers. Maybe a false positive?

Thanks for the reassurance Sigi. I temporarily turned off the virus protection and now it downloaded and installed with no problem.

Really very strange, especially since VirusTotal has nothing unusual to report.

Re: Thetis skins installer
Downloaded and installed with Windows 11 Pro last night. Windows didn't do anything until I went to install. Then, as it does quite often, it started to block installation until I selected run anyway. It installed with no problems. I did a quick virus scan and nothing showed up. Sometimes, Windows is overly protective. While sometimes annoying, it is a good thing.

Re: Thetis skins installer
I did a full virus scan after installing and nothing was found so I can only assume all is okay.

Re: Thetis skins installer
I can't explain why it is the way it is.
I tried it on 4 different computers, 2 x Win10 and 2 x Win11, on all of them Defender is active
as a virus scanner and no virus was reported. So very strange indeed.
But the main thing is that it works.
Have fun.

Re: Thetis skins installer
Can someone explain to me how I can prevent my installer from being classified as suspicious by some virus scanners?
Of course I don't want to get a certificate for it.
The original OpenHPSDR_Skins.exe (integrated in Thetis installer) was also created with Paquet Builder. But I have never heard of this being suspected by a virus scanner. I have countless Thetis/PowerSDR libraries (which all contain OpenHPSDR_Skins.exe by default) on my computers, but Defender has never suspected any of these files, nor the Thetis Big Skin installer I created.
What could I do to prevent this from happening again?

Re: Thetis skins installer
Sigi,
I got this message from Windows Defender this evening after a scheduled scan:
Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml
file: C:\Users\DELL\Downloads\Thetis.Big.Skin.Installer.exe
This was in Windows 11 PRO . I went ahead and deleted the file. Funny thing is, I installed the skins from your download the day you released the file and there were not any alerts from Defender during the download or installation. It didn't do anything until this evening during a scheduled scan. Maybe the last update from Microsoft has a problem that this download triggered.
