2.10.3.3 closes down the radio dsp, which was not done before. The 'rug' was just pulled from under it. There are parts in the radio dsp shut down that sit there forever waiting for it to close down cleanly. I have not seen this here. Warren fixed a whole bunch of stuff related to this, but something might have slipped through.

Some of the settings in the ModeDependentSettingForm are stored against TX profile, so if you change the settings you need to save the TX profile, or you need to turn on one of the TX profile autosave options. There is a bug that if the main console window is resized then that mode settings form is cleared out, this will be fixed in 2.10.3.4

Been using v2.10.3.3 for a couple days now and have not noticed any problems running my ANAN-100B, except that the bottom of screen CPU Usage meter does not update and reads 100% at all times in either Thetis or System. I think the Usage meter actually stopped updating when I updated to v2.10.0. Thetis start seems faster and some parts of screen a bit sharper.

Running Win10 x64 and IK3VIG Special skin. Screen update set at 15FPS. panadapter. Task manager says Thetis CPU use is about 35%, System about 60% and network about 50MB/s via GB connection. Memory is about 64% overall with Thetis at 95MB. Other normally running programs are: with WSJTx+, JTalert, MS Edge browser and NEMEAtime 2+GPS puck. My radio is running P2 v3.1, which I believe is up to date for my 100B.

To show 100%, then it must have at one point obtained that value, and for whatever reason has stopped updating. You can check you are getting results by using PerfMon and setting them up as below.

Can I ask when 2.10.3.4 will drop? I'm just building a new PC with Win11 Enterprise 23H2 and will wait for 2.10.3.4 to come down if its not too far away. :)

Richie! Good afternoon Thank you for the work you have done. Thetis latest version works great!!! I have already written such a request before. Perhaps you can do it now? It would be great if you could also arbitrarily move blocks of buttons and sliders, as well as change the sizes of buttons, sliders and fonts. This will allow you to customize the interface as individually as possible for different monitor resolutions. Thank you!!! Best regards, eu2r

A pre-release of 2.10.3.4 is available, but has had very little testing.

Richie,

I recognize that v2.10.3.4 is a pre-release but I just added a bug to your GitHub bug page. In a nutshell, Hercules DJControl Compact MIDI controller not responding. Thank you.

it shows in the midi window? in the tabs at the top? and you select it? then move a control/slider? working fine here with mine

All correct. I reverted to 2.10.3.3 and regained most MIDI functions. Some buttons and controls had to be deleted, then reprogrammed. I then re-installed 2.10.3.4 and lost all MIDI controller recognition. Thetis 2.10.3.4 doesn't recognize movement of any MIDI controller buttons, wheels, or knobs.

In each case, I have NOT deleted old Thetis versions when installing/re-installing -- I'm overwriting to avoid creating new meter containers. That may no longer be a concern, but I wanted to point it out as a possible factor.

Anyway, it will be interesting to obtain reports from others.

ignoring of 14bit messages will have to be an option in that case because if you are not getting anything, that is the only change in midi really other some mapping for a device name of [DJControl Starlight]. The 14bit LSByte is in a message with controlID >=32 and <=63, and should be preceded by the 7bit message that is used to build a 14bit value. I will look at it next week sometime as having a weekend off from coding.

Cheers for the update as I only have one midi device here to test with.

Uninstalling Thetis does not delete the database. The updated Thetis session should retain your previous configuration.

Hi Richie,

Could you please add, in a future version, an option to disable the output to the amplifier PTT linked to each the TX profile?

This will be a good option, so we can have a high power profile on Thetis without the possibility of damaging the amplifier by mistake.

Thanks

this has been looked at before, and the firmware lacks the ability to do so. Use the OC system and a suitable cable to do this.

2.10.3.4 pre-release has been updated to pre-release_2 over on github. Those with midi issues please give it a go. There are some new options in the setup midi tab, to ignore the 14bit stuff which was probably causing your issues and also an option to combine control ID and status together for devices that share lots of controls/buttons on the same control ID.

Also, those with shutdown issues, there is a new shutdown_log.txt file created along side database.xml (the same folder). Please create a github issue and include this file if you encounter a stuck 'shutting down' splash window.

Cheers.

the mode form has never been saved, It just shows what mode you are in and as long as the band stack config allows the mode to be updated into a stack entry, it will return with that mode/stack entry.

Parts of the mode specific from are saved in a tx profile and restored from a tx profile. You provide nothing to help diagnose a problem, if indeed one exists. Make a video or something that shows what is happening because as it stands your report is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot.

I suppose one could argue that a chocolate teapot could hold cold tea, but the taste may be a bit strange.

I am simply using the mode dependent settings form to enable compression and the TX equalizer, The settings are not saved - at least they are not showing up when Thetis is re-started.

UPDATE: After opening the Equalizer tab and saving, the form now shows correctly.

Update v2.10.3.4-pre-release-5 on github

https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/releas ... -release-5

TX scope fix, and additional option for midi control ID. You can now combine Control#, channel, status and use as the controlID. This should help fix the K1cue and RightWheel issue on DJControl Compact devices if used (referenced here viewtopic.php?f=33&t=3488#p12170)

v2.10.3.4 Change Log
[add] show on startup options for ampview and linearity/ps window. Set in the linearity/ps window
[add] can now ignore 14bit Midi messages. More devices should work. Option in Setup->Serial/Network/Midi CAT->Midi

[add] certain skins might make it snow !
[fix] scope should now work when in TX
[fix] mic phase reverse now calling correct function in WDSP, and can be turned on/off
[fix] Hercules DJControl Starlight midi device is now better handled. Wheel finger press for example are ignored. If you used this device before you will need to reconfigure as the control IDs will have changed
[fix] PortAudio #850 fix included
[fix] FM should now use low/high cuts. Carlson's rules used for filter width display in FM rx and tx

Updated to v2.10.3.5 prerelease without any problems. So, I decided to try a couple of things.
Dug out an old Berringer DJ MIDI controller I forgot I had. It was very easy to setup and get some basic things going. Now, I need to get my wife to let me use her fancy label maker!

Something happened to the video showing the Audio spectrum display that Ritchie made. I was going to try that out too.

Hello Richie, first thank you for all your wonderful new work at Thetis .
I do have a question or I would said a requested perhaps, is it anyway that in the future the panadapter window it self can be resize
to accommodate better some of the new cosmetic features like the meters and stuff?
and correct me if I'm wrong is the actual control sections on the display are they going to have the ability to move them around something in the upcoming updates?

I apologized if this not the area to ask this questions but I'm very curious

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but on the new 2.10.3.3, When I turn the grey-line map on, then off, the spectral area image disappear and the only way to get it to reappear is a software restart. Not a huge issue by any stretch. Just wanted to document it.

Besides that, its been fabulous.

Oh and here's a "want" for us guys who operate Amplitude Modulation...

It would be great for an option to switch between Synchronous AM Upper and Synchronous AM Lower, right from the UI. Not even separate buttons, but the more you click the SAM button, it will switch between the different modes. The same way KiwiSDR's do. I'm not even sure if its possible.

Also, I would almost beg you to put back adding a manual notch filter by clicking the mouse wheel when hovering over a carrier. Or at least an option to do so in the menu. I'm not sure why that was removed, but it was so much easier to add a notch that way instead of having to add one via button, try and grab it without grabbing the edge and making it super wide, and place it on top of the offending signal as opposed to just clicking on it with the mouse wheel.
