UPDATE 21k

add: auto agc options added to AGC/ALC setup tab. This is experimental and relies on panadapter noise floor calcs

Auto AGC is very nice, but it requires a different offset for my vhf xvtr. The noise floor on 10m is just below -120 dBm, but just below -140 dBm on VHF. Level CAL on HF, 6m and 2m is performed by use of a signal generator.

This auto AGC is very nice, would be great to have a button under the AGC gain control to enable auto AGC.

yeah, it'll need some more work for sure, it is totally experimental. I need to expose a couple of settings that change the sensitivity, attack, etc of the noise floor algorithm. Ideally, the gain slider with auto agc enabled would adjust the offset. perhaps right click the slider and the grab handle changes to a different colour to show auto agc.

I really need to start making headway on splitting RX2 from RX1 in the display engine, and rendering 2 directX surfaces. With the current list of change/updates and fixes, probably mid Oct to start working on that.

Yes, looks like I need to subtract the transverter gain before firing it off to the AGC. The snr readings will be different on 10m and 2m as they should be, but the agc will be using 10m floor. I will sort this for next version.

Just a quick note that all the button packs at my site are updated with the new xPA button. Download whatever button pack(s) you need and unzip the contents into the Console folder of the skin(s) you wish to update. Note that none of my skin download packs are updated at this time so if you grab any of them you will need to update the buttons in them with the desired button pack.

Hi Richie, thanks for version K, it runs nicely but i noticed one little thing:
switching between Collapse and Expand leaves the WF and FTT black (Power button off/on resolves this)

Very happy with Auto-AGC, works also fine with Panafall, not only with Panadapter.

.... In addition, this function should be able to be switched ON or OFF with a checkbox in the setup menu (options or something like that).

That would be a wonderful thing, other hams who work with external amps will certainly be happy too.

We cant prevent the PTT Key rca output on the back of the 7000, not at this time anyway. If you use the OC TX pins you can do exactly what you want.

Guenter, as Ritchie noted you have 7 addition PTT's using the OC Control pins. I use it exactly that way that only the PTT will key my amp but if you use the Tune function it will NOT key the amp.

Here are all the AND OR you can choose. It is super Flexible:

thanks for your help.
Have checked and tested but for me, this way is not working.
My Amp is every time in TX mode when i click the TUNE Button.

Info: My ext amp becomes the PTT from the PTT Output RCA jack on the backside from the Anan.

For me, this way does not the right job hihi.

What you are asking for is supported and works great to not key the amp when in TUN.

But not for "PTT out"... its only possible via OC Output...
PTT out is not software controllable. afaik.

First of all thanks for 21k3, Richie - OC now behaves exactly the way I need it.

@ Günter:
Often it's the little things that we overlook. So it's just an idea and I don't want to offend you. Did you notice that pin 13 on your Expert 1k5 wants to see 12 V in order to prevent transmission?
However, the OC pins of the Anan pull an applied voltage to zero.
So you would have to invert the signal. Connecting Pin 1 - 7 directly to pin 13 on your Expert wouldn't affect anything.
