Bitfocus Companion

Post by ramdor »

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I have used BitFocus Companion with StreamDeck over the years. It is free, opensource, and has a bunch of plugins, that support loads and loads of devices. It also has a udp-tcp plugin, which after a quick test this evening, does seem to work quite well with tcpipCAT.

You can use a browser on tablet/phone to access an 'emulated' stream deck. You do not need to have the streamdeck hardware. If you do have the hardware, it can either talk to the deck natively, or via a streamdeck plugin (I use the plugin).

The only downside of the tcp-udp plugin is that it is send only, so impossible to obtain any feedback from Thetis via polling which is a shame. Changing a band for example in Thetis would not be mirrored on the streamdeck.
