corrupt dbase? Help Thetis won't start hangs at 8 sec

Hi guy's, Well it took a week but I managed to corrupt my Database I guess, and now Thetis won't start. I was playing around trying to setup digital modes and must have failed to save a profile for digital or something because now Thetis hangs at the 8 second to launch mark.
I did get the following error:

I went into the database file and tried to find the afflicted line but can't seem to find it so I just renamed it to old database and then started Thetis again.. That worked to an extent... The program came up but now I have a weeks worth of settings to do over because it started from zero.
Thetis v2.9.0.8 x 64 pre-release
latest trial protocol 2 for my Anan 7000DLE MK2-3 whatever...delivered abt a week ago
Win 10
Anyone know how I can make it happy with the old database and save me lots of time?

edit:
Several hours later: I went ahead and started over... Good to familiarize myself with all the settings and I learned my lesson about having a backup Dbase at hand, but in case this happens again I would still like for someone to help me understand what the error message means...

Hi,
Holding down shift as you start the software is a handy tip if it won't start.

What does that do, Steve?

I just tried it it pops up a window to reset your database along with saving your existing DB. Try it. You can always back out of it. Great tool to know.
