Thetis > SDC using VAC - Ghost Signals

Post by m0cke »

Hi all

I'm using Thetis > SDC using IQ via VAC, however looking at SDC skimmer I can see ghost signals, these are also reported as spots on the panadapter.

Is anyone else experiencing this please?

What could be the cause?

Go to Setup > DSP > Options.

If they are not already set like this, try changing filter type to linear phase and filter size to 1024.

Thanks, they weren't set to this, will give that a try!

Make sure you have IQ swap enabled in Thetis. The last time I spoke to Yuri he was in the middle of removing that option in SDC, but IQ does need to be swapped otherwise you will probably get decodes and signals in very odd places. As a side note, at least on my install, I have not had any reason to adjust the filters to get it to work when using IQ over vac.

A strange thing happens to me with SDC, when I transmit I see my transmission appear on multiple frequencies. I tried excluding the dup, the ps, lowering the power to 1w (if I transmit at 0w it doesn't happen). What could it depend on?
