Hello,
I'm interested in understanding what the S meter should read on a dummy load or when the radio is on without an antenna connected.
I recently installed 12mm and 9mm Fair Rite snap-on ferrites on everything, along with an EMI AC line filter, which has significantly reduced noise. However, I've noticed that when I switch the Palstar AT2K tuner to the dummy load position, the S meter shows noise levels around S3/S4. This reading remains the same even after disconnecting the coaxial cable from the Anan. The readings don’t vary between the 100D and 200D models. I haven’t checked the 8000DLE since it’s stored away for now.
Could you please share what you observe on your radios?
Thank you!

I found out the answer when I researched the forum so now I know how and why of the mystery.
Thanks, Scott.
