Was listening to the team speak session this morning and was interested to hear that consideration is being given to putting a 2m capability on the Hermes board . I wonder if does this mean just a firmware change or will it only apply to newly made Hermes with updated components ?
Would 4m also be possible ?
As always thanks to the team for the ongoing work which leads to new and exciting features.

Kjell kindly replied on the email list
"Hi EI7BMB
There will be a complete new layout of Hermes so 2M is only available with the new board. There will be a hardware modification using Under Sampling on 2 meter.
4 meter will not be included.
More information is going to be given on the OpenHPSDR reflector soon.

Re: Hermes 2m/4m
Dave KV0S kindly asked Phil for an update on this project on team speak this morning. The Hermes 2 board will have 4m and 2m although it has been decided that 4 and 2 will work on a separate module to the main board. I'm guessing this means it could become available as a HF only board for guys who don't need 4 and 2m . Exiting times ahead for VHF guys like me .
Re: Hermes 2m/4m
Thanks for sharing that Tony. It's hard to keep up with all that's going on!
