Can I add a request for a CAT command to Enable Auto AGC?

yep will add it today Gary. I am doing some work inside the CAT stuff, so might as well. Needed a break from the TCI headache

A custom color palette for the waterfall would be great. Atm we have only the fixed palettes (Enhanced, Spectran, etc.).
Would be nice to make custom palettes (like the color gradients for the spectrum).

I would like to run MULTIPLE instances of Thetis... on the same computer!
I have an Apache Labs Anan 100D that I use as a VHF transverter IF on 10 meters (uses protocol 1).
I have an Apache Labs Anan 7000 DLE MKii that I use for HF and 6 meters (uses protocol 2).
I can run the old PowerSDR (100D) and Thetis (7000DLE) simultaneously but would like to run 2 instances of Thetis to take advantage of the new software features!
Of course, there is the issue of possibly multiple DJ Controllers, one for each instance.

you can already Terry, look at the command line flag pinned post, where you can specify different databases, data paths, etc etc. Midi devices will be in use by the other instance I would expect.

I think it would be nice to let Richie finish some of the projects he started like multi- transmit meters.

I think it would be much nicer to let Richie finish the "Current Version" first.
Because if new requests are constantly being built into the ongoing project, I fear that there will never be a release version.
And thanks to Richie's good nature, everything is always implemented immediately and a final goal is never reached.
Please don't get me wrong, I also love the new bells and whistles, but since there are so many new ideas waiting to be realized,
I would find it good to make a consistent cut and carry over all outstanding and upcoming ideas into the next version step.

I tend to work on stuff in this order:
a) stuff that is broken or not doing what it should
b) stuff that I am interested in and makes Thetis nicer for me
c) all other stuff

I would request you to provide additional wide filters 20 kHz for DRM as the new pure DRM broadcasts are 18/20 kHz wide and we cant decode these new broadcasts. PowerSDR and DRM mode must have been incorporated 15 years ago when 9/10 kHz filters.
This is the most appropriate time to revisit the DRM mode.
I have posted screenshots of 2 different broadcasts transmitting 18 KHz wide signal.
Thank you & 73

Dear Richie,
Any hope to get a selectable filter for 20Khz bandwidth for DRM?
If a provision of 10 kHz filter does not violate any Copywrite, There is hardly any scope providing a second selectable filter would do either.
Please investigate and provide one if you feel it does not attract any violation.
Thank you

Richie,
Thetis 21K9(rc2-b) working well here, including CW QSK.
Feature request: Under <General><Options>, engage the CW DELAY times when in semi break-in CW, but force those fields back to zero when QSK is engaged.
In the alternative, create separate CW DELAY fields, one set for semi, the other for QSK.
This change allows for smooth operating transitions between a choice of semi-break-in and full QSK CW break-in.

Richie, Could we put some DB reference marks or lines for the EQ and CFC/EQ? It is very difficult to tell where the DB markers are without them.
Thanks for all the hard work

May I offer a suggestion... of course, do it only if YOU will get something from it (fun, challenge, useful function, etc...)
Allow mouse to pan right/left (when on top of panadapter horizontal row) also when on that mode that gets enabled with right click (yellow "hunting" bar). While you are at it change its cursor to the <--> when hovering there vs just when clicking there?
Thanks again and if there is already a way to do the above, then someone let me know

Thanks for doing this Ritchie!!! I see it working in 21k9rc3. Hope it met the "b - work on stuff Ritchie wants" category

Hi Paul, I have found evidence of relay hot-switching with a Key-Down time of less than 6 ms. I sync my 'scope to a string of dits, and can clearly see the dit's beginning slope cutoff. For belt-and-suspenders safety, I set it to 7 ms. Key-Up is fine at 0.
Have you checked this? I have a 200D; your 7000 may be faster for some reason.

John,
Have a look at the attached screen capture. What you see is the complete RF envelope of a single "dit" at 50 WPM. Scope is set for 5 ms/div. RF is sampled from my homebrew coupler into a Bird Termaline load. Best of all, you're seeing it in-line with my SPE 1KFA amplifier at 1KW output power.
The blue trace is the CW key line into the ANAN 7000, The yellow trace is the RF envelope measured at the load. Some takeaways and notes:
- Under Thetis <General><Options> CW Delay is set to 0 in both fields.
- QSK is engaged.
- From the time of key closure to RF is just 3 ms. Absolutely no waveform truncation.
- Take a real good look about 1 ms before the RF envelope rises. See the tiny blip? That's the amp bias line going active from my homebrew PIN diode T/R switch. Amp bias activates in between key closure and the presence of RF.
- Notice that the RF waveform length perfectly matches the key closure time. It's absent of any so-called "dit shortening."
A while back, I replaced the ANAN T/R frame relay with an Aromat RS-12V. It's an RF reed relay meant for the job. This was done not to improve timing but to make keying quieter. Keying is now completely silent. Whether or not the timing of the new relay is better than the stock relay I am not sure since I did not take scope measurements before the mod.

Can we have ZTB not restricted to CTUN?

Unfortunately it is not really possible.
As an example, if you have it setup to show 7.100MHz to 7.200MHz, with a vfo at 7.190MHz in CTUN on mode, that works fine no problem. However, if you try to do the same with CTUN off, the centre frequency is now held at 7.190, the view is unable to shift, so to view 7.100 on the LF side as per the ZTB setup, you would be now be viewing out to ~7.280 on the HF side and not 7.200.
Of course, I could leave the ZTB button always available and switch to CTUN on mode when ZTB is pressed.
Richie.

Hi, asked for this an hour ago but i realize that was i a wrong tread,
Would it be much work to display SWL spots to the FFT when we set "Spot SWL" to on?

Richie, if you implement Paul W9AC's feature request, please don't force the CW Delay times back to zero. Instead, put them back to the values previously set by the user for QSK use. Some users (well, at least one) can't use values of zero in QSK mode.
In other words, store two sets of values, one set for SEMI, another set for QSK.

A midi-command for swapping the midi-wheels would be great.
Reason: I am using the right wheel for vfo-a, cause I am right handed. On split operation (i.e. 5-15 up) it would be nice to tune the own tx-freq (which is vfo-b) with the right wheel.
