Something I have noticed in the code, is that only the ring buffer IN latency is stored/recalled when swapping TX profiles. There are no changes made to the RB out, or PA in or out. You might be inadvertently applying some other RB IN setting when swapping profiles?
Not sure if that is intended, but that is how it is in the code.

Correct, I noticed one tx-profile with a different RB in-buffer. I cycled now through all tx-profiles, and made them equal.
I will take a look, if the "problem" is solved with equal settings (I guess that is)

yeah, it would be easy enough to get those other settings stored/recovered with the profile, but not sure if it is done for a reason. Perhaps they have just been forgotten about and not included in the tx profile save/load.

Ernst--does the resampler run wild (unstable) when this occurs? I.e., is this a problem due to a change in VAC settings, or is this the resampler running wild when VAC is reset because of the TX profile change?

That would be a great improvement, Richie!

VAC looks completly "normal"

That's actually surprisingly useful. I can see it being used to help with setting optimum S-ATT value for band conditions by watching for a drop in SNR on the largest signals. Very nice.
However, it does beg the question that came up early with respect to peak blobs: can there be buttons for these options arranged along the small status line that lays along the bottom of the spectral display?

Richie,
You can reference my other post. Problem: Random garbled TX SSB audio with Thetis 2.8.11, protocol 1 and ANAN-100B. This is random, could be your 3rd transmission or the 10th. Today I tried what I4LEC (see what he posted back last year below) suggested by turning off Pure Signal, I made many transmissions with PS off with no problem, but turned PS on and got a report of garbled audio in a about the forth transmission.
So it appears to me PurSignal is conflicting with 2.8.11 and P1.
I understand this is a hard to define random problem and would guess Thetis on P1 is not high on the priority list, but this is what myself and other have found. Have also talked to others on air with the same issue
This is not a killer for me, I just use mRX and it works fine, but would like to be able to use Thetis.

Same issue as N9VX on my ANAN10 (16bit) running Thetis 2.8.11 P1 using W10 x64. i7 desktop 6 gig ram, SS drive.
Did try deleting the file wdspWisdom00 and regenerating it with no joy.
It seems linked to PS as without it or single cal it works fine, it happens randomly 1 every 12-15 ptt

Joe,
What sample rate are you running with P1? 192KHz?

Sooooo, heres a weird one I just stumbled upon... I was using RX2(75m on RX1, 20m on RX2) this morning and accidentally hit the "SD" button on the GUI (Stereo Diversity) for RX2. What it did was weird. Now stick with me on this, its a little hard to explain. When i hit the SD button for RX2, the frequencies that you see on the panadapter change to the frequnencies that are on RX1, but the RX2 doesnt actually change frequencies. I still hear the AM BCB station. What is actually being displayed on the waterfall and data line in the panadapter doesnt change at all, like I didnt move frequencies at all, but the frequencies displayed on the panadapter would say otherwise. Ive attached a screenshot of RX2 on the AM BCB so you can see what I mean. The info you are seeing on the waterfall/panadapter for RX2 is the signals on the AM BCB. As you see, the 3745 on RX1, doesnt look anything like the 3.745 on RX2 lol. To be honest, I never even noticed the Stereo Diversity button

Joe, unfortunately I cant find anything that stands out, other than Thetis requesting that PS is also reset when turning on autocal mode. OpenHPSDR mrx does not do that, it just turns on PS autocal mode.
are you using vac as the audio source? or a direct connected mic
when it occurs, if you switch PS off mid transmission does the distortion stop?
have you noticed ATT values changing during the qso?
Richie.

Thanks Perry, reproduced here. Will look into it.
EDIT: actually not sure what the point the SD button is tbh. Exactly the same thing happens with VFO Sync if you have RX2 shown. It is not like you can access the SD button without RX2 shown anyway. I guess we could cache the VFOB freq when SD is pressed, and re-apply when turned off to return VFOB back to where it was.
Richie.

Not running VAC, mic direct connect to radio. When transmitting I don't know it is messing up, so would not know to turn off PS. Have not notice ATT values changing, but will look for this.

hmmm.. gradients could be a thing. I have set a hard stop for red at -100dBm in this example (which tracks the min/max grid size), but could be -73 or -93 depending and could also be a smooth transition. Could also have some config for a bunch of colour transition points..... man, have to love directX

The only issue with that area is if the window is squashed right down, the centre area is used to display the seq error stuff. Hmm, perhaps a button bar, that can contain the existing stuff, and a way to cycle though different sets. Or a tiny tab based 'flip' book... hmm.
Richie.

Maybe the SEQ errors would be better placed on the bottom status bar?

The most amazing and useful spectral display I've ever seen is the "DPX" mode on Tektronix real-time spectrum analyzers. It color codes signals based on the temporal frequency of their occurence.

Richie,
Here is something I noticed.
v2.8.11, P2.
When Thetis is first started my call comes up in the upper left part of the screen (custom title text) but when I go into collapsed mode, my call goes away.
Screenshot (133).png (237.97 KiB) Viewed 60411 times
Screenshot (134).png (159.89 KiB) Viewed 60411 times
If I change to expanded mode, it is still gone.
The only way to make it reappear is to restart Thetis again.
I also noticed that when in collapsed mode, the drive level from DDUtil is displayed where my call should be.
Screenshot (135).png (159.83 KiB) Viewed 60411 times
I know that this is coming from DDUtil because if I change the drive level there, the change shows up in the top of the collapsed display.
This may be a feature?
Another thing I noticed is If you move the PWR slider in the collapsed mode the drive level changes but there is no indicator on the screen to tell you what the drive is set to.
I am using a fresh data base.
Thanks,
Don

yeah Don, I guess removed for Andromeda to reduce clutter, not sure. Definitely a bug that it doesn't return when on expanded mind you, but not a game breaker. Thanks for finding it and reporting it though. Yep, the zero feedback on the sliders is annoying, put probably done for finger touch reasons I guess.
Richie.

Richie,
Not a big deal on the custom title text, just reporting possible bugs.
I now understand why there is no feedback on the sliders in the collapsed mode.
Thanks for the response.

Good morning,
not really a bug, but some cosmetic issues/alignments:
VFO-A TX-"Flag": right alignment
BS Save/Restore: left & top alignment
VFO-B Info: right alignment
S-Meter: border-type (maybe 3d vs 2d?)

Hi
The question is to save the setting of the AGC level by ranges. It is also advisable to save all changeable settings within the range (BandStack).

Hi
Is it possible to make a choice of transmitter modulation when working with two receivers using the active TX button.

Looks like the squelch slider is inoperative for the second receiver.
Fresh database.
