Oh yeah. That's what I meant by "rewind" type sequence errors. I'll post a screen shot of one the next chance I get.w-u-2-o wrote:If it's doing that then it's probably firmware. I've not seen or heard of that error modality, though. Is this something you've actually seen?
Sequence errors during transmit

As for me I am running at default never messed around with fft and fps parameters.kc2rgw wrote:A dense stream of UDP like we generate is actually kind of unusual and brings out flaws in a lot of hardware/IP stacks.
To the OP, I'm curious what FPS rates and the FFT size being run. I've found people running some crazy combinations there and once adjusted to more sane values, their issues went away.

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
I have installed the beta above and have been operating most of the day with no sequence errors. I able to run at 768000 sample rate Pure Signal on.

Please report that in the beta topic.n2gq wrote:I have installed the beta above and have been operating most of the day with no sequence errors. I able to run at 768000 sample rate Pure Signal on.

I'm pretty sure it's my same problem, stay tuned!w-u-2-o wrote:Jay--AFAIK, you are the only person with the most recent FPGA that has reported an intractable problem with a GigE connection.n2gq wrote:I am going to try a PS test today. Hopefully if I get time. Are any of you guys operating with a new mk3 chip and had any success?

Do you get a lot of errors?StefanoAlvaro wrote:I'm pretty sure it's my same problem, stay tuned!w-u-2-o wrote:Jay--AFAIK, you are the only person with the most recent FPGA that has reported an intractable problem with a GigE connection.n2gq wrote:I am going to try a PS test today. Re: Sequence errors during transmit
With my new G2-100 I get errors from the time I start Thetis in receive as follows:
-Sequence error 256 (DDC2) in red
-Sequence error 256 (Mic) in red
-Sequence error 8 (DDC2) in red
-Sequence error 264 (DDC2 Mic) in red
Not sure what the issue is?

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
That doesn't bode well. The GigE interface on the Pi was supposed to fix this problem once and for all.
How are you connected between the PC and the G2?

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
I am connected directly from PC to G2 via Intel I226V pci-E card.w-u-2-o wrote:That doesn't bode well. The GigE interface on the Pi was supposed to fix this problem once and for all.

-Other strange issue is with receive audio for example when I enable RX2 there is no audio until I stop and start Thetis again?
-I have not been able to get the balanced TRS mic input to work yet but may have not typed the -m xlr command correctly.
-No monitor audio from speaker or headphone outputs?

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
Oh yes, in the first minutes of transmission everything seemed to go well, but after a while (components that heat up perhaps?) they start and increase more and more. In 20 seconds it could happen even 4-5 times after about half an hour of transmissionsn2gq wrote:Do you get a lot of errors?StefanoAlvaro wrote:I'm pretty sure it's my same problem, stay tuned!w-u-2-o wrote: Jay--AFAIK, you are the only person with the most recent FPGA that has reported an intractable problem with a GigE connection.
