Hi Joe,

Bob never reported back as having actually received his G2. I too would love to hear from him and see how it's going.

I paid my final invoice on February 4 for a G2 no-display, but no radio yet, just excuses.
Last week I finally initiated a dispute on PayPal because their 180 day time limit was running short. Apache responded via PP saying that they were holding my shipment because of the dispute. Can you imagine the gall that would take? They offered to ship the second week of May if I drop the dispute. I'm afraid that they are just trying to run out the clock.

What do you expect them to do? When you file a Dispute with a CC company the funds are immediately taken out of the merchant account until the investigation concludes...

Hi All,
Finally, and thankfully, some encouraging news to report at last: Overnight I received tracking info from FedEx for my G2 (no display)
No explanation as to the extraordinarily long delay in my case.
I will report back here just as soon as I receive the rig, hopefully in just a few days.

Here is the time-line for those who may be tracking their own order, or considering a new order:
8 JAN 2024 Placed order on Apache-Labs website & paid $1000 deposit via PayPal
4 FEB 2024 Received final invoice & paid via PayPal
21 APR 2024 Initiated dispute case with PayPal for non-shipment
6 MAY 2024 Received tracking number from FedEx in India
10 MAY 2024 Anan G2 arrives via FedEx

So, just a bit over four months from start to finish.

On Mar 13th 2024 Tony confirmed G2 with Display is ready to ship
Payment in full was made on March 17th 2024
On May 8th Abhi notified that there was a small problem with the displays and is being corrected
On May 18th Abhi confirmed that my order shipped from Gurgaon, HR, 122050 via FedEx and FedEx provided a tracking number
Shipment is expected to arrive on May 23rd prior to 5PM.

G2 with display was received as planned. Made copy of micro SD card to have a future backup if needed. Ran piHPSDR and operation worked flawlessly. Downloaded Thetis and had it build its initial database. Once completed, connected to G2 and worked first shot.
Great experience so far ! Highly recommended Apache-Labs if you are patient and willing to wait approximately 3 months for delivery.
I was communicating with Abhi through out the process and he was kind, responsive and always tried to provide accurate updates. Thank you Apache-Labs !

I am curious if any of you ever considered or placed an order with Martin Lynch & Sons (ML&S) in the UK for G2 or other models? That company has accepted shipping to U.S. addresses in the past at least, if I understand correctly. From what I read on another forum, ML&S may carry more inventory, enabling "smoother" delivery.

Checked just now and I see that they have inventory of G2s, with or without display. Obviously, the currency exchange rate is not very attractive and will end up costing you WAY more than placing a PO on the Apache-Labs page. At least I hope that they ship items double-boxed .

Just wondering:
1). How shipping dates will be affected on the G2 now that all G2 models have been upgraded from their 7 inch display to the new 8 inch G2 Ultra models.

2). Also wondering if this sudden upgrade was precipitated by a supply chain issue with the old 7 inch displays or for some other reason?

3). will this also affect other Apache Labs products such as the 1k5 radios or standalone amplifiers which appeared to use the seemingly common 7 inch displays?

They (Tony) answered within 24 hours, ' New orders will ship in 2-3 weeks'

I have recently ordered a G2 with no display. Two weeks after paying my final invoice my online account only shows the original order and pre-order amount. There is no indication that I have paid the final invoice. Is this what others are seeing? I know I am being very impatient. This is due to the overwhelming number of people that have had issues dealing with AL. On 6/24 I received an email confirmation (after several emails from me) that my G2 was at customs in India and would ship in 5-7 business days. How many business days per week are there in India?

6/10 - pre-order deposit paid
6/18 - final invoice paid

I just received an email from Fedex that my G2 with no display will be picked up today. If everything goes well at customs in Memphis I should have it by the end of next week. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. My Apache Labs online account still doesn't show that my final payment was made. Apparently, this information is not updated until after the shipment. Timely account updates would do a lot to reassure customers.

My G2 no display did hang in Memphis customs for one day. AL stepped in and provided whatever was necessary for it to be released. From the original order to my front porch was 1 month. I can't complain about the time for delivery.

I do wish the communication was better. The whole process seems very shady. The lack of online status of payment is unnerving too. My online account still only shows that I paid the deposit. There is no mention of the final payment in my online account.

Currently, the no display model shows in stock. I would still expect 2-3 weeks for one of these to arrive due to the uncertainty of customs.

I feel fortunate to have received my rig without a lot of hassle. I think I will count my blessings and remember to buy this brand on the used market in the future.

Ok so I did forget to post an update here in this thread.

Ordered a G2 (No Display) on May 4, 2024.
Notified of final payment due on May 28, 2024
Fedex received G2 Shipment in India on May 30, 2024
G2 Arrives at Fedex depot in Memphis TN on June 4, 2024
G2 Delivered to my house in Connecticut on June 5, 2024
So total time from Order to Delivery was 31 days.... Pretty Great as far as I am concerned.

Loving the G2 and THETIS.
Have now decommissioned my Yaesu FTdx101MP which I will be eventually selling.

There's no "used market" for these radios to speak of. Months at a time go by before I see a specimen posted for sale anywhere.
