Delay Options Explanation

Could someone explain or direct me to a detailed explanation of the effects of the various delay settings on the General Options menu?

If you take your mouse pointer and hover over the various settings, "tool tips" will pop up that explain each setting.

For example, when hovering over the "RX Delay" setting, the tool tip reads "Delay between PTT Out drops to RX on."
