7000DLE Tandem RCA Jack Mounting

The attached photo shows a set of #4 tapping screws added to hold the tandem RCA jacks in place on the back panel. Installation was very easy. A set of plastic mounting holes pass completely through. So, once the back panel is off, it’s simply a matter of drilling through the mounting holes from the back side. In a couple minutes the job was done. No measuring required.

Although I used tapping screws, one could use machine screws. Then, add a #4 lock washer and nut to hold the jack captive against the panel.

Fantastic, Paul, thank you. That's how it should have been done on both the 7000 and 8000. Apache has fixed this on the 7000 MKII. An easy modification for those so inclined!
