Does anyone know of a way to PTT thetis with it open in the background? Say I am rag chewing and looking at mousers website etc? It only works now when you place the mouse cursor on the thetis app.

My recommendation is to use serial port PTT. It provides the best ergonomics.

1. Add a serial port to your PC.

2. Assuming the serial port uses a standard 9 pin, D-subminiature, serial port connector, wire up PTT switch will connect pins 7 and 8 together when pressed. This can be a hand switch, foot switch, whatever.

3. Open the Setup window and select the CAT Control > CAT tab. Choose the correct port number for PTT control, RTS as the PTT signal, and check the Enable PTT checkbox.

Or you can use a MIDI controller and program one of the buttons for MOX.

Or you can use one of the many keyboard macro programs available and program a hot key or function key to always send a space character to Thetis no matter where the keyboard input is focused at the time.
