New 7000DLE owner here setting up the radio for the first time. Almost everything going well; a remaining issue is getting VOX to work. I have searched for an read quite a few posts here on this topic but so far havent found the answer, Here is where I am:

> Using virtual audio via VAC1
> Behringer B1 + UMC 204HD interface with Behringer ASIO drivers v4.9
> Thetis 21k7 + P2 v1.9
> VOX level indicator moving with receiver sounds and with my voice but VOX does not trip regardless of setting (with VOX enabled)
> Anti-VOX at -30 and makes no difference on or off
> Possible related issue: spacebar PTT is intermittent; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. If I click on the MOX button, that works and the spacebar PTT then works for a while
> Have been through the VOX related settings quite a few times, and am using the settings Scott suggests here.
> Radio is otherwise working as expected. Several QSOs with good reports.

Same symptoms with Thetis 2.8.11 2020 version , and this is what motivated me to update to 21k7.

I have not tried a database reset so far.

Scott reports that the VOX works well with VAC so my issue is likely pilot error or perhaps a corrupted file somwhere.

Any guidance appreciated.

OK - will do this, but first a question. You are currently recommending Bootloader as the preferred method of updating P2 (vs P2 Programmer). Your instructions for using Bootloader state that WinPCAP must be installed to use Bootloader. In following the link you provide to WinPCAP one finds a statement that WinPCAP has not been supported for some time and may not be compatible with later versions of Windows. This site recommends using Npcap instead, but does still provide for downloading WinPCAP v4.1.3. Wanting to be sure I get this right, Should I download and use WinPCAP 4.1.3 despite the warnings, or use Npcap, or some other alternative?

Unfortunately many of the early posts on the forum are getting a little old. Either solution will still work fine. I suppose it is somewhat more correct to use NPcap at this point, but both will work fine in this application
