Why is my TX display partially off screen?

Greeting all-
This is a small issue, but I've got everything else so dialed-in. In TX, my signal on the scope
is only half-visible. I've never been able to find a way to scale it so that it shows the entire signal.
The right half of it is always off-screen to the right. In other words, it only shows the left half of the
TX signal instead of being centered on screen. This happens when I'm zoomed in for FT-8 operation
in RX. If I zoom out in RX, the TX signal is then visible. It is at though the RX and TX display bandwidth
is not synced. (TX zoomed in more) Any ideas folks?
Thanks- Bob AB5N

How your TX display is scaled depends on whether or not CTUN is on or off, whether DUP is on or off, and what your RX panadapter zoom level is set to.
IMHO, the best operating mode is CTUN ON and DUP ON. I'm guessing you don't have either enabled.
There are valid technical reasons to have DUP turned on 100% of the time. DUP shows you your actual RF output coming from either the internal PureSignal coupler or an external (if so configured) PureSignal coupler. Without DUP turned on you are merely seeing a digital representation of the data going to the DAC.
Having DUP turned ON also forces the RX and TX frequency scaling to remain identical. After that it's just a question of whether you zoomed in too far or not.
CTUN on the other hand is more of a religious argument

I think situational awareness is better with CTUN turned on, others disagree. You'll have to experiment with that for yourself.

Wow... thanks so much. I use CTUN , but did not have Duplex on. Ideal now!
Interesting on the sample taken from the coupler with DUP on. I have an external sampler in line, but stopped
using my power amp when I developed the RF feedback problems from the case being over-sprayed and grounding
being an issue. Don't want to tempt the Gods. Maybe some time I'll get to inspect a current model and see how the
grounding is done. Having blast with the new Beta and meters today. Fantastic.
again, thanks for being the prime resource for quality info here-

The grounding is the same on mine (black case 7000 DLE mk2.5) as yours, I believe.

There are plenty of folks who are being successful operating QRO even with any issues associated with the Apache-designed chassis grounding and bonding.
I'd encourage you to start a topic here:
viewforum.php?f=17 describing your grounding difficulties. It's a good bet that if some of us put our heads together your problems can be solved and you'll be able to use your external amplifier.
