Adding piHPSDR to Desktop

Post by JohnFT61 »

I tried to place the piHPSDR icon to the Desktop, but it will not let me change permissions for "Execute". I believe I need the root Password? What is the root password? I used the procedure on page 31 in the Anan-G2 User Guide, but it did not work.

This is a Linux question and has been moved to the G2 OS sub-forum.

The instructions for doing this are on page 30 of the manual.

If you ever need root (admin) priv's, simply prepend "sudo" in front of the command that needs those priv's.

I was using "sudo", but forgot to add the extention (.desktop) to the filename. It is working now.
