I might have to clean or replace the programming switch which is located at bottom of radio is it easily accessible?
Reason when I go to program radio it does not always go into program mode.

It is moderately difficult to disassemble a 7000, depending on the case style you have.

Here's a video that, while not specifically a disassembly video, should provide some guidance on how to go about it.

After that it's just a small matter of de-soldering the old switch and soldering on a new one. I can't remember if it is surface mount or not.

Consider that this is also an opportunity to install a switch on the rear that is more easily accessible. Many of us with older Apache hardware that required disassembly to place a jumper wired the jumper location to a rear panel mounted switch for convenience.

Just what I needed.
Thank you, Scott.
