I recently configured K9DUR's VoiceKeyer with Thetis v2.10.3.5.

In order to control PTT for VoiceKeyer, the manual states the following:

VoiceKeyer controls the radio PTT by toggling the DTR and/or RTS pins on a PC serial port.
Most commercially-available sound card interfaces sold for digital mode operation support this
method of PTT control. PowerSDR supports this method using a virtual serial port created with
VSPmgr, com0com, or similar program. SmartSDR supports this method by creating a PTT
serial port in SmartSDR CAT.
VoiceKeyer also allows up to two messages in each profile to be triggered by pulsing one of the
modem control lines (CTS, DSR) on either the serial port used for PTT control or on another
serial port.

I ended up using Eterlogic VSPE (demo mode at the moment) and it works. Just curious if there is another 'baked in' way to accomplish this type of PTT control within Thetis. Thanks for any input!

No other way to accomplish serial port PTT other than the one setting provided to assign a serial port and signaling line in Thetis setup.

Thetis does also support CAT PTT if the other app can utilize that method.

I use the K9DUR keyer sometimes, as you found out the only way to get PTT is to set a serial port in K9DUR and since this is a "virtual" port, make a pair in VSPE and use paired port in Thetis.

VSPE is worth the one time cost I think.

Thanks Doug! I just wanted to make sure I was not overlooking something in Thetis. I will go ahead and purchase the license.

VSPManager is free, I've been using it for years, it's been reliable like a belt buckle (at least for me).

Thanks! I will check it out.

I've experienced a lot of problems with VSPM. I'm a fan of VSPE. YMMV.
