Thetis export/import from Hermes Lite 2+ to Anan

I have a Thetis instance with many custom and optimized settings from the Mi0BOT branch for Hermes Lite 2 and Square SDR. Now that I have a new G2, is it possible to export from the Mi0BOT instance and into the Apache branch of Thetis? I do know how to export/import with the database, just not sure if it'll all transport intact across to the other branch, if that makes sense.

I was waiting to reply, hoping that someone who had actually done this would answer.
I don't have an HL2, but it's easy to suspect that the two databases are not compatible.
That said, there's absolutely no harm in trying. You can always reset the database on the G2 Thetis configuration.
If just a few things are screwed up you have some options. Fix them manually in Thetis and/or manually edit the database file. The XML format is pretty straightforward. Notepad++ is my preferred XML editor, especially with the comparison plug-in. You can compare a fresh database to your HL2 version and see the differences.
Another option would be to just export the TX profiles.
BTW, if you would edit the title of your first post and change "Hermes" to "Hermes Lite 2" that would be helpful, as they are not the same, as you know.

Thanks. I ended up doing it manually (for practice, hah!). Hopefully I'll have it on the air later today after doing some checks and cabling. Good to know that it's XML, as that would have been very easy. There are definitely some differences of note that I found, all make sense. My HL2 has the output board, so all of the OC outputs need to be set up to switch the relays. In Apache I guess those aren't used unless you need a tuner, amp, etc. Took me a minute to register that in my small brain. Otherwise it all seems good other than the firmware and sh scripts w/libs are all very out of date. Most of the work ON7OFF did in his videos seems to be personalization, especially EQ, so I'll work through my own as I go. Thanks for your suggestions!

The radio seems to work ok from Thetis. When I bring up piHPSDR in a terminal session that also works. I am a bit concerned about the error message below during the discovery process that says "Incompatible" for Protocol 2 v25. Any thoughts on what that might be about?

Most likely is because you are not running the latest version of PiHPSDR. I ran into the same thing and had to download and build the latest version to get it to work.

I ran into the same problem a while back. You need a fairly recent version of PiHPSDR. Look for dl1ycf's Github repository (
https://github.com/dl1ycf/pihpsdr). Download the manual and follow the instructions to build it (Appendix J).
Note that the software is updated regularly.

It's kind of strange, as using the second line (START) on eth0 it runs. I'm not really sure what I'm looking at there though. Perhaps time to start a new thread and learn.

I would look at the desktop shortcut path and see why it's showing two different radios. You may need to do some editing to make the radio discovery show only the listed connection by the Start button.
