VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
I noticed just now that VFOA and VFOB windows aren't showing correctly. Not sure why I see this only now (it has been there all along), but I wonder what causes this? See image below.

Hi,
I went back to Thetis_v2.8.8-x64_Setup.msi .... it was present then too.
My windows text size is set at 125% for ages but changing it to 100% makes no difference.
The boxes arround VFO-A and VFO-B are a bit to close to the Setup <--> Find buttons, i think
oeps crossed Ramdor...i will try that...

oke, i understand this now but i suppose we have to live with it.
I need 125% otherwise i can't read the text under the desktop icons, just a minor issue with 4k screens.
thanks, Leon

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
Some weeks ago (same Thetis version) I didn't have this issue. I backed up the database so I think I must have goofed up there. At least I thought I had imported a working database to solve but no joy.

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
Should I uninstall Thetis and re-install the (same) the version I am on? Using the 2.9.0.8 pre-release for many months and am noticing this. After what I thought was a database backup the radio started "re-building" (FFT) as if I had rolled back to P1 from P2 which I found odd. I am on P2 still.
UPDATE/Correction: The FFT portion of my OP isn't correct as firmware and software are entirely separate things. It had been a long time since I last upgraded Thetis that I already forgot when planning FFT occurs . I decided to uninstall Thetis and start from scratch (seeing FFT Planning take place as it should).

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
Looking at some of my old posts on this forum I see that I didn't have this issue in June 2023 (this is when I was having a hairy problem with the noise floor dropping and then rising unexpectedly). In early October I am seeing this issue and now.
As per Richie, this isn't a database issue so the question arises, what is it then? I am on the same Thetis version and have been for several months (including in June 2023).
UPDATE:
On an old lap-top I have the same Thetis version installed and VFOA and VFOB display great........

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
I have this issue too but it doesn't bother me or the working of Thetis so I leave it as is. I have always thought that it is caused by my large font size. I am visually impaired and put up with this sort of thing all the time because I adjust fonts so I can see them. As there is the menu text above the vfo boxes then the menu text obviously flows a little close to the box edges when using a large font. I'd rather see the menu text than the labels over the vfo boxes so that is how I use it.

Terry,
I understand where you are coming from.
For me, I really want to understand why this happened as I have been using the same version of Thetis for a long time and I did not observe this "glitch" earlier.

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
Uninstalled/reinstalled Thetis. Weird, the same problem persists (and changing text size or scaling (100% currently) using Windows makes no difference) . I then imported my OpenHPSDR database as well, with everything working well.
In June, this year, VFOA and VFOB rectangles displayed correctly (and they do when I get into Thetis on my old HP lap-top, that has the same version of Thetis on it), but since at least October 2023, those rectangles haven't been displaying properly. Thetis works great - as usual - with all of my settings intact.
Can't figure this out......perhaps there was a Windows 10 update many weeks ago that is causing this What did happen between June and October is that I had to rebuild Windows 10 completely from scratch (wiped SSD clean prior to doing that). I am not going to roll back to a much earlier state though, just to get "VFOA" and "VFOB" texts to display in their entirety.
So, I guess I will just have learn to live with this "blemish" as there are no functional issues whatsoever. I am assuming that this is Windows (10) related and is not a Thetis "issue," given that I didn't observe this in June.

Hello Richie!
Sure appreciate and value the video.
I have been on Windows 10 for over 2 years and never had this issue before. Tried scaling at 150% and it didn't really remedy the glitch, but Thank you again for taking time to put together this video ! Below, see image.
Cheers!

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
In that image you are probably changing display scaling, not just the text size.
In windows 10, go to start button, select settings, ease of access, display. Use slider Make text bigger. There is another slider that 'Makes everything bigger', ignore that one.

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
Heavens....you are still up !
I actually had to go down in text size (at 100% things are a little to tiny though) so I will play with text size a bit more. The thing is that now ALL text whatever the App is got smaller, BUT, the main thing is that VFOA and VFOB now display as they should !
Sorry for having wasted your time with basic PC 101 stuff, but this will help others who may have been dealing with this too !
Thank you!

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
FWIW , i did what Ramdor advised : windows 10, go to start button, select settings, ease of access, display. Use slider Make text bigger.
But then the Windows 11 equivalent.
As i said before, it solved this issue but it's not usable for me on a 4k screen, all desktop icons get much to small for my eyes.
Tryed this a couple of times in combination with different font size settings but decided to put everything back to default. I can't explain why but after this the VFO text looks much better. Only a little bit topped off. So OK for me.

Re: VFOA and VFOB windows not showing correctly
That's the problem with 4k. It is advertised as high quality (which it is). The problem is that it makes a difference whether the display is used as a television or as a computer screen. 4k only makes sense as a computer screen if the display size is at least 40 inches or if you have eyes like an eagle
