I looked at the code again.
FxPad starts a request with ZZFM (radio model number) which Flex PowerSDR answers with 0, 1, 2 or 3.
0 = SDR1000
1 = FLEX5000
2 = FLEX3000
3 = FLEX1500
In our case, Thetis only answers with 0 or 1.
This corresponds to 0 = SDR1000 and 1 = FLEX5000.
So it is not surprising that FLEX5000 is displayed, no matter which S/N is given. Command ZZSN only reads the serial number
(the S/N is permanently programmed in FLEX radios) for comparison with the .lic file.
For this reason Thetis ZZSN input option does not exist in FLEX PowerSDR)
So it could work, if Thetis would output a 3 for the existing .lic file.
btw have you got my mail?

Re: Bob S Meter
Zigi, that confirms that FxPad is also "looking" for the radio type but i wonder how you get a 0 or 1 on a ZZFM request?
When i use the CAT command tester build in Thetis it returns a "?" ZZSN works fine.

Re: Bob S Meter
ZZFM works in my case like it is in the code snippet. Except the "alex_att" portion if Hermes is choosen. No matter Alex is active or not, Thetis returns ZZFM1. If Anan-10 or -10E is choosen ZZFM returns 0, all other Models (except Anan-7000DLE) returns 1. Only Anan-7000DLE returns ?.
Not surprising, the Anan-7000DLE is not included in the code snippet. That should be changed.
So it looks like you are using a 7000DLE.
Btw. In PowerSDR it works (alex_att) as it should. Anan-7000DLE not confirmed/tested.

Re: Bob S Meter
Zigi, thank you very much for your continued help! (and yes i have a 7000)
When i set the rig to Anan8000 in Thetis then FxPad works very nicely.
For the time being i leave this setting at 8k, the 7k and 8k aren't so different, except power. Still have to test it with TX though.
Next step....searching for a cheap chinese 10" USB monitor with touch screen....
Hopefully there's a developer following this tread who's willing to make a little change in Thetis so ZZFM returns a "1" for 7k's. Or better, for future use, see pict
Thanks again Sigi!

Re: Bob S Meter
Excellent. A small setting with a "big" effect.
I assume you are now running the patched version.
Regarding the 10 "LCD. Please note that the FxPad is set to 800x480.
The resolution of the 10" LCD should therefore be adjustable to this resolution (approximately),
as the operation with FxPad can become very fiddly with a higher resolution.
I would be interested anyway in which 3rd party software / hardware evaluates the ZZFM command.
After my consideration, Thetis should also output the value 1 for Anan7000DLE.

Re: Bob S Meter & FxPad
Sigi and i succeeded to get FXpad working in Thetis & a Anan 7000.
We decided not to post the edited FxPad.exe due to possible copyrights.

Re: Bob S Meter
With only one digit to change, I was waiting for that hex editor to be brought into action
FXpad working!
Got FXpad working on a small touchscreen, together with Thetis
Connected to the VGA port on the motherboard and works nicely alongside two HDMI monitors connected to the graphic card.
The size of the visual screen is 16 cm, the outside measurement is 17,5 cm (6,9”) both diagonal. The sharpness is surprising good for such a little 800x480 screen. Next ... finding a housing that can hold the pcb's too. 73's PD3LK
