ALL FPGA LEDS OFF WITH PROTOCOL 2

Post by IK2LRN »

Hi,
i have replaced F3 and now my garagebuild Hermes works with protocol 2.
Power consumption is about 900mA @ 12VDC.
All FPGA leds with protocol 2 does not work. It works correctly with protocol 1.
I would like to know is it is normal behavior.
Thanks,

Hi Luca,

It is normal with the latest P2 firmware.

There may be some used in earlier P2 versions, but when there was a lot of development/debugging
going on.

Hi Rick,
thank you for your answer.
In the latest Protocol 1 version led are still working.
Maybe has been decided to disable it for reduce the power consumption ?
With protocol 2 power consumption increase significantly.
