Need to install P1 on my 7000 and make tests regarding ATT, that'll be tomorrow.

dl5tt : just so that you are aware, if adcs are the same for rx1+rx2 then then attenuation will be linked. If you change rx2 it will change rx1 for example.

b) yes I have not done anything about this yet
c) do not know what might be causing that, please supply crash logs
d) will look at this
e) you cant, they fall off the bottom when 16 in there

Hi, related and proberbly noticed already.... the Reset button in the Filter menu works on Shift but not, or very strange, on Width.

I the first post I was running 21d2.
Mode change not working right.
I did do the Ctrl on starting.
I went back to 21d and the data base for 21d and noticed the same problem.

Josef, does the ATT behave you run difference adcs?

As far as I can tell :

In RX,

100D
200D
ORIONMKII
7000D
8000D

use DDC2 for rx1 normally unless diversity is enabled, then they switch to DDC0. RX2 uses DDC3 always

In RX for radios:

hemes
10
10E
100
100B

They use DDC0 for rx1 and for diversity, and use DDC1 for rx2 if diversity is off

All use DDC1 for sync when using diversity.

I assume this is the for P2 and P1 as there doesn't seem to be any distinction in the code (not that I can easily see). So one would think it uses DDC2 and DDC3 in P1 for a 7000dle, but perhaps it doesn't. I will have to ask Warren/Doug.

I went back to 21d and it still has problems with mode changes.
You see that it is in USB but the panadaptor shows AM.
I am running the 21d database.

I had the same but it was solved after changing the Bandstack setting for 28.400 to USB

All fixed.
I had to put in the mode and bandwidth AND refresh and lock the frequencies in the bandstacks.
I need to read about this more carefully.
So far so good.

I'll have to downgrade my radio to P1 tomorrow, if I can remember how to do that without bricking it, to test everything in P1 mode, which I confess I have not done.

Don : ok, I am not sure why the mode highlighted wasn't the one in the pan adaptor through, that should not happen. Just q quick question, is this at startup from a DB update, or was it happening every time you clicked a mode?

It was happening every time when I hit a mode button.
It would sometimes switch but if you were on LSB it wouldn't switch to USB.
After adding the correct mode and bandwidth, everything straightened out.
I am guessing that the band stack info has these parameters stores in it?

yes indeed Don, every entry in the bandstack has zoom, centre frequency for receiver, ctun setting, frequency, mode and filter. I am not sure why you would be seeing a different mode selected to that displayed on the panadaptor though, that needs further investigation, and especially if you click on the mode button.

I concur with Ernst, in that Ctrl + Right Click does not work.. its now Ctrl + Left Click for new band-stack entry.

However, I believe the code should be corrected, not the tooltip (I assume Ernst was just being facetious, lol).

Code wise it was cleaner to do it on left click. The tool tip got changed I can change it over if enough people think ctrl-right is better than ctrl-left. It will require re-adding right click handlers for all those buttons, on HF, VHF, and GEN panels.

Not a problem, Richie, I was only a bit concerned that folks accustomed to the previous functionality (CTRL Right Click) might get rattled if they haven't been keeping up with the thread.

ctrl left click is fine, it is more intuitive.
on a right click I would expect a context menu or something.
maybe right click on a band button brings up the bandstack-mngr?

I just wanted to replace an "wrong" entry. I had 14.074 with mode "USB", wanted to change it to "DIGU". So I clicked on the band-button to go to his entry, unlocked the entry, deleted the entry and changed the mode to DIGU.
By adding this new record, it adds the first one in the list (14.194) instead of 14.074/DIGU.

Just wanted to post a issue I came across. When I have 21d installed, pure signal will run but not turn green for about 30 sec during TX. It would happen every time. Starts off yellow and red when I first TX, then turn green after about 30 sec. I installed 21c and the problem was not there, pure signal worked as expected. Install 21d again, same problem once again. Not sure if it's my system but, it is repeatable.

On 21d and Ernst Yaesu skin, in DIGU mode the check sign in stereo small window is rather same white color of the window background, not black as usual.
I will try this afternoon 21d2.

I've deleted all band stacks, rebuilt it, but every time I restart Thetis the problem repeats:

I see that the filter width slider is set to max, that seems odd too.
So, just a guess! try to reset the filters (right click on a filter) and look what happens...

About Stereo "button" in digimodes:
Its not skin-related. In fact it is a regular checkbox, I guess the foreground-color is white (or light grey).

Not reproducable here (21d2). But I have deleted all band-stack entries and made them new.

Like usual checkbox, the check sign would be black but in my case is the same color of background (white). Leon put already a picture of this small cosmetic issue.

I will post a picture of a strange behavior of modes buttons, when you are in TX or with VFO locked, using Ernst Yaesu skin.

Hmm, I was concerned that S-Meter was different to the original thetis smeter readings, but after some quick testing they look the same.

I'll have to get P1 on tomorrow and find out what is happening there.

Richie, FWIW I remember the S-meter issue mentioned here has been true since I've been using. The earliest version I used w 2.6.9. P2. It's been around so long for me I had forgotton about it until it was mentioned here.

just after loading 21d2 yesterday I had this happen., Specifically, I had to change the VFO frequency to something else and then back to the original. Then I could make the entry correction. I have not been able to reproduce it again. The day is not over

Ernst - thanks, I will take a look at this. The filter/stack knows we should technically be on the highlighted stack entry after the delete, but the VFO has not moved. This would not be ideal though in your case. I will have a head scratch. I have been thinking about an update as well.

rbduck - thanks for this. If the smeters have been the same for years, then they are no doubt fine. We would have had complaints that they didn't track signal standards and all sorts. In simplistic terms when an attenuation is applied to the hardware, the software does the reverse, it offsets the spectrum by that attenuation amount (including calibration, 6m and transverter shift). It has also been confirmed by Ernst that at least 21d is mirroring the 2019/2020 release of 2_8_11.

w2ner - I am not sure how the fixes to attenuate the correct adc would have an PS, working in 21c and not 21d. Can you let me know your radio model, show me screenshot of DDC page, and also the protocol you are using. The ddc/adc selection for attenuation is changing in 21e however.

i2noy - yes I blindly go through all checkboxes/radiobuttons and set the background colour to fix an issue Ernst was having with his skins Eventually Ernst (and you) will tell me which ones to miss out Problem noted.

ea3aqr - noted about start up state. Please open up the bandstack window, take screenshot, next to the vfo and panaptor.

Hi OM, did you checked the AMP Delay setting?
See pict: with this setting i can reproduce what you see.
I don't have a Ext Amp so this setting is 0 in my setup.
