Flex control and Tune Step rate

Hi,
While using the Flex control unit with ddutil I get a step rate at double the rate. So if I have 50hz step tuning rate I will get 100hz of tuning. All except 1hz. My mouse will tune at the proper rate so does the midi controller. Has anyone had the same problem?
