Why does the threads look like this?
Ever since the site was restored from being down the other day, any thread I go to looks like this (multiple pop-up boxes in the post).
Why is that happening, and how can I keep it from happening?

<Sigh> Yeah, the forum is a bit messed up right now
As you and everyone else have undoubtedly noticed, the forum went down hard some three times over the last month or so. I've been working diligently with Apache's IT person and hosting provider to improve the situation, but it has been "quite a journey", so to speak.
The forum has been running on a very old version of phpBB, which has been running on a very old version of MySQL, for a long, long time. This, combined with some other hosting issues, started to make forum unstable.
Apache IT wanted to avoid the work of migrating the forum to the latest and greatest, so instead it was first migrated to a new server for hosting. This did not solve the problem. Thus, very recently, the forum has been migrated to the latest version of phpBB on a modern version of MySQL. That has helped a lot, but sufficient connection resources on the hosting side needed to be tuned, and that is what was causing all those failed page loads this past week. That has now also been fixed.
What remains is a known bug in the default forum style provided with phpBB, called "prosilver". This bug involves the drop down menus always being dropped down and in the way. I put in request two days ago to obtain FTP host access to the forum /styles directory so that I may a) apply the known fix to prosilver and b) maybe add more forum styles.
I hope to have this fixed sometime this week.
