My built from spare parts Anan 100 is working but what is this?

My built up Anan 100 is working!
Just calibrated power out across the bands and setup the mic gain etc.
Had a low power qso and all seems ok except....

Quick question.
When tuning or transmitting and switching back to receive it is taking around 2 seconds for the receive panafall display to settle down to its normal level.
Immediately after transmit there is a thick orange band which gradually (2 seconds) goes back to normal.
There is no change to s meter noise level or volume of noise in headphones.
Whatever it is just seems to affect the waterfall.

Any idea why this is?

I can't duplicate your problem. Please post screen shots of your settings in Setup > Display > RX1, and Setup > Display > TX.
