15 Mhz AM reception

Post by WA2DVU »

I have had my 7000 for 6 months and it is fantastic - no problems.

I have noticed when I tune 15 Mhz WWV the audio gain drops. Plus or minus 1 HZ the gain is normal. All other AM stations are normal when tuned for their exact FX. Any idea why this happens? 73, Bill, WA2DVU Cape May.

Hi Bill,

Keep an eye on the ATT field down at the lower left of the GUI. I think above and below 15 MHz you will see a different attenuation level by default when you tune either lower or higher than 15 MHz. If you set the 15 MHz ATT level to the same as 14.999 and 15.001 the RX behavior should be the same.
