How do I set a static IP on my piHPSDR?

My setup is an Anan 7000 with a static IP and currently attached to my PC with a CAT5 cable and the PC has a static IP and all works well but I would like to put a static IP on the piHPSDR to operate the radio via my LAN.

I did try to poke about with /etc/dhcpcd.conf and also /etc/network/interfaces but to no avail.

Your piHPSDR device is a Pi running Raspbian.
