What is the best firmware for Protocol 1 and also Protocol 2

It's my understanding there are issues running Protocol 2 on the 7000 at the moment but I would like some clarification on the matter.

The best firmware for both protocols are the latest revisions posted to the TAPR Github repository. See the links in the sticky posts in the firmware sub-forum here.

The very recent P2 release for the Orion MKII is working pretty good for most people on both the 7000 and 8000 hardware units.
