1.8 causes Thetis to close during a PTT
OK, since updating from 1.7 to 1.8 yesterday, I have had Thetis (2.6.4) close on me when I hit the PTT. This has only happened twice so far. But it completely and immediately closes Thetis. To recover you simply restart Thetis. I am using a 7000DLE (not mark II).

Same report. Several seconds into a PTT (transmitting), Thetis closed.

I can't repeat this behavior with my 7000 (non MKII).
Any chance someone who is seeing this frequently can get a wireshark capture
on the UDP data going between the SDR and HOST (all ports)?

Rick,
I was able to wireshark capture the application close. However, I am not sure I have wireshark configured properly, I simply selected the interface, then clicked capture, then saved the result. I will email it to you.

Same problem on Anan 7000 DLE.

At least others are seeing this, I thought I was holding it wrong!
It's not frequent, and I am assuming we would need wireshark running the whole time until a crash??

This is a well known problem associated with MAC-PHY timing.
The best way to get the necessary data is to cycle PTT a million times quickly until the problem occurs, then launch Wireshark and take a second or two of data. That data will confirm (or deny) this is the same problem that has been seen many times before.

The capture I sent Rick contains both the Pre and post closure data, he received the file and will analyze it later today. I’m sure he would welcome other captures in the mean time. I fell back to 1.7 to run a net for an hour, and had no problem.

Tnx for the Wireshark capture Jeff. It gives me some valuable clues.
Also tnx for the testing of various images for a potential fix.
